Sun Protection

As long as you protect your skin you can enjoy playing in the sun.

In many ways, the sun provides nourishment to our bodies. The sun provides vitamin D, energy, and a million dollar disposition, but don’t be greedy. If you receive too much of the sun’s UV rays, it can damage your skin.

Always protect your skin when you are out in the sun, if you begin to tan, burn, or peel the damage has been done. The sun is the number one cause of premature aging of the skin. It also causes dry skin and spots of darker pigmentation. If the damage is extreme, it can reach your skin cells and possibly cause skin cancer, the most common type of cancer.

Follow these tips for playing safely in the sun:
  • The sun is most powerful between the hours of 10am-4pm, so play in the shade during this time.
  • Always wear a good sun protection product with a high SPF and UV filter when you go outside.
  • Today, sun protection products are available in many forms, including lip balms, makeup, and moisturizers in addition to the traditional sun block and sunscreen.
The latest sun protection products are hypoallergenic, waterproof, PABA free and non greasy, making them okay to use on young children, and sensitive skin without worry.
