Diaper Rash

Diaper Rash

Protect your baby’s bottom from diaper rash by following this simple advice.
  • Keep the diaper area cool, dry, and clean by changing baby’s diaper several times per day.
  • The diaper area is delicate so avoid harsh soaps and scented wipes that may irritate the skin.
  • Test different diaper brands on the baby’s bottom for adverse skin reactions.
  • Use baby lotions that contain vitamins C or E, milk, or aloe vera to hydrate the baby’s skin and relieve the diaper rash.
  • Use baby powder to keep the baby dry.
Depending on its severity, diaper rash can show up as blisters, sores, red pimples, swollen skin, or a simple rash. Most diaper rashes are caused by the baby’s diaper being too tight or from staying in a wet diaper for too long. There are also different types of diaper rash.
