Dark Circles

The skin surrounding the eyes is the thinnest skin on your body, which means it is easily damaged. If you have bags under your eyes or a dark purple or blue color shadowing around your eyes, you’re not alone.

This condition goes by the names: allergy shiners, raccoon eyes, or dark circles; and it’s a leading cause of complaint amongst women everywhere. The thin skin allows for the capillaries and veins to show through the skin leaving the sufferer looking tired.

Below are some of the key triggers that cause dark circles:
  • Heredity
  • Allergies
  • Fatigue
  • Overexposure to the sun
  • Too much alcohol, smoking, and consuming anything high in caffeine such as soda, and coffee.
Tips for covering your dark circles:
  • Your choice of concealer is important; you will need to choose one that is two shades lighter than your natural skin tone. Use one with a yellow base to drown out your bluish dark circles.
  • Use cosmetics that moisturize and provide nutrients to the skin surrounding the eyes.
